    Description

This projector can show both glass slides (3,5 and 4 inch) and opaque pictures (postcards, drawings, etc) and it is a historical item. It belonged to a Danish photographer and publisher, Vilhelm Richter, active in Copenhagen at the beginning of 20th century. He run a publishing house for school books and a slide-show parlour in Copenhagen. He would show his own slides / photographs often hand-coloured by his sister. Judging by the inscription of his name in hand writing, one can assume with relative certainty that the projector was in service in Richter's "show-room" starting with 1912 according to Danish sources. The projector was in a bad state when I've got it. I wanted to restore it preserving the original look, but, at the same time, regain full functionality. The package contains the original parts, which were replaced during the proces: mirror, lamp socket, electrical cord and plug. Both the slide and picture trays were repaired and repainted (se enclosed images). There is also an extra mirror, ready to go in if the one place is damaged during shipping.
As it is, the projector can be used to show glass slides available from a lot of sources. It can also be considered as a collector object given the certified provenience and the original exterior look.
Part of the package is also the original Bausch&Lomb Product Catalogue where the projector is described. Both the catalogue and the projector can be placed around 1910.
I have packed the projector as secure as I could but I would not take any responsibility for the damages occurring during shipment.
