    This is an extremely rare, highly desirable Civil War Book "Redeeming the Republic: The Third Period of the War of the Rebellion In the Year 1864" by Charles Carleton Coffin. Published by Harper & Brothers in 1899 and it is a First Edition! This is the third volume in a set of four early reviews of the Civil War. The book measures 7 by 9 inches and has blue boards with embossed gilt and black decorations and lettering. It's 478 pages are filled with wonderful illustrations and maps and is an uncommon treasure for the Civil War buff or researcher. This volume, along with the other three, come from the Seller's private library. Condition discussed previously.
