Description
Memoirs of Service Afloat by Admiral Rapael Semmes was considered the most successful commerce raiding officer who captured 82 prizes while in command. He was cheered by the South and feared by the North. The book is covered with a beautiful green cloth and has gold designs on the binding. Inside you will find wonderful portraits and Chromo-tints. Some of the chromo tints are by Allen C Redwood who was a soldier during the civil war and became a painter. Although the binding is not in good condition, the inside of the book is still intact and contains amazing engravings and chromo-tints. Please e-mail me if you have any questions or if you need to see other photos.
