Early 1900s Souvenir Postcard Album War Pictures Chauny France. Condition is Used. As you can see in the pictures, the cover is present but has detached from the postcards. Otherwise, this album is in very good condition. There are a few pencil markings found.
The Album features photos of Chauny France showing WW1 effects on the region. These are very meaningful times captured in beautiful images.
These are Phototypie postcards which are also called photocollographie, héliotypie, albertypie, in German lichtdrûck (printing by the light), in french Phototypie, collotype is a process of high-quality printing, at the fat ink by means of bichromatée gelatin and irradiated. Collotype is a dichromate-based photographic process invented by Alphonse Poitevin in 1856, and used for large-volume mechanical printing before the introduction of cheaper offset lithography.
